JAMES HENRY DICKERSON

OXFORD--James Henry Dickerson, 80, of Oxford reached his heavenly home on Saturday, November 21, 2020. There to greet him were his parents David Gill and Dulcie Hailey Dickerson; four brothers, David Junior, Russell Edward, Archie Gill, and Charlie McCoy; two sisters, Margarite Dickerson Proctor and Linda Dickerson Woods Smith; and a granddaughter, Victoria Joy Harris.

A private family service will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Oxford Baptist Church at 11:00 AM.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Diane Cottrell Dickerson; a daughter, Allison Dickerson Edwards (JC); a son, Jim Dickerson (Sue); six grandchildren, Hailey Harris Sellers (Zach), Travis Hunter Harris, Cole Dickerson, Lane Dickerson, Conner Gooch and Matt Faulkner (Kelsey); one great-grandson, Memphis Troy Sellers; many nieces, nephews, life long friends, his dog, Lovee, and cat, Baby.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kindred Hospice of Oxford for their care and dedication.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oxford Baptist Church at P.O. Box 398, Oxford, NC 27565; to Harriett Baptist Church at 1354Ruin Creek Rd., Henderson, NC 27537, or to the charity of your choice.

Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting the Dickerson Family.
