JAMES ROY LAWRENCE

FRANKLINTON--James Roy Lawrence (Jack Rabbit), 69, who was born Feb. 23, 1951 in Granville County, to the late Graham Lawrence and Gladys Lawrence Little, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020 at WakeMed Health & Hospitals of Raleigh. Service will be Saturday, Dec. 26, at 1 p.m. at Greater New Life Ministries, with Elder Wayne Bell serving as eulogist. Interment will follow in the Manasseh Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Solomon Kerney and Robert Little, and one sister, Emma Lawrence.

Surviving: his wife, Elaine Lawrence of the home; one daughter, Sunnetta Gibson of Raleigh; stepdaughters, Tonya Douglas, (Okeel) of Raleigh, Kionna Kelly (John) of Garner, Karen Sanders of Raleigh, loving grandchildren; sisters, Sade Delany (Roy) and Gladys Perry both of Franklinton, and Elaine Peguese of Raleigh; two brothers, Joseph Lawrence of Newark, NJ and Arthur Little of Oxford.
