KING DAVID ALSTON SR.

Mr. King David Alston Sr., son of the late William and Pattie Gupton Alston was born December 24, 1933, in Franklin County, North Carolina. At an early age he joined Perry's Missionary Baptist Church. He also served in the US army for two years.

On February 28, 1958, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Ruby Wardrick. To this union five children were born. He was preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Mary Wardrick Alston, one child, one grandchild, one sister, Emma and six brothers: William Jr., Sam, Elbert, John, Charles, and Eugene. He was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He departed this life on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at his home in Franklin County, North Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his two daughters, Ms. Shirley Deyon Richardson of Louisburg, NC and Ms. Doris J. Alston of the home; two sons, King Alston Jr. of the home and Michael A. Alston of Louisburg; one sister, Mrs. Mahalia Williams of Brownsville, New Jersey; one daughter-in-law, Karen Deans Alston; five grandchildren: Paula Alston, Marcus Alston, Amber Richardson, Chris Alston, and Jordan Alston; one great-grandchild, Nevaeh Alston; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
