LOUISBURG, NC - Graveside service for Arthur "Newsome" Strickland, age 77, who died on Friday, January 29, 2021, will be held on Wednesday, February 3, at 1 p.m. at the Cedar Rock Church Cemetery in Castalia with Pastor Sylvester White officiating.
He is survived by three sons, Arthur Strickland (Sharon) of Clayton, NC, Tim Strickland (Latonya) and Batone Hicks, both of Louisburg, NC; two sisters, Joanne Battle and Melissa Dean, both of Louisburg, NC; six brothers, Roma Strickland (Delois) of Ft. Washington, MD, John Thomas Strickland of Balitmore, MD, Charles Strickland (Jewel) of Deer Park, NY, Willie Strickland (Beulah) and Baby Ray Strickland, both of Louisburg, NC, Morris Strickland of High Point, NC; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 5 until 6 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
