NASHVILLE, NC-Funeral services for Melvin H. Richardson Sr., age 84, who died on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 15, at the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Richardson Family Cemetery in Warrenton.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Richardson of Rocky Mount, NC; seven daughters, Bettie and Thelma Alston, both of Louisburg. NC, Brenda Wiggins of the home, Sarah Foster (Roy Lee) of Nashville, NC, Cynthia Jones of Spring Hope, NC, Katherine Barrett (Will) of Wilson, NC, Teresa Williams (Quan) of Rocky Mount, NC; four sons, Jerry Williams of Louisburg, NC, Melvin H. Richardson, Jr. (Olivia) of Castalia, NC, Joseph "Slick" Richardson of the home, David Earl Richardson of Louisburg, NC; four sisters, Maggie Richardson of Durham, NC, Anna Leggett of Union, NJ, Loudella Mills of Warrenton, NC, Ona Johnson (Billy) of Raleigh, NC; three brothers, Charles Richardson of Colorado, Merle Richardson of Warrenton, NC, Russell Richardson (Sabre) of Garner, NC; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 until 5 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
