GEORGE LEE PENDER

Memorial service for George Lee Pender (Skip), age 68, who died December 9, 2020 in Raleigh, NC, will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 at God's Passion Community Church, Frankinton, NC, with Rev. Jeanette Pender-Powell officiating.

He was born to the late Beulah Mae Teasley Pender and George Sidney Pender in Franklin County, NC.

Along with his parents, George was preceded in death by five brothers, Jerry (Infant) and George Allen Pender (Jug), Thomas Lee (Chee-Chee) and Robert Lee Teasley (Potty-Rat) and Thurman Yarborough.

Survivors: two sons, Duane Hockaday of Raleigh, NC and Mario Pender (Laura) of Centerville, NC; honorary son and daughters: Tony Whitaker of Chicago, IL; April High (Alton) of Knightdale, NC and Denita Thompson (Brian) of Zebulon, NC; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roger Pender (Marguarite), Harrell Pender (Linda) and Tommy Pender (Sondra) all of Franklinton, NC; one sister, Annette Lynch (Joe) of Nashville, NC; two aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cutchins Family Mortuary & Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
