NELL ROSE DANIELS BURNETTE DUKE

LOUISBURG, NC -- Nell Rose Daniels Burnette Duke, 83, of Louisburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 15, 2021. She was born in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lannie (Flemming) Daniels. Along with her parents, Nell is predeceased by her former husband, Belmont R. Burnette, her brothers: Linwood, Ralph, Fred, and Ferbie Daniels, and sister, Sarah Daniels Medlin.

Nell is survived by her husband, Ernest "Tom" Duke of Louisburg, her son Phillip C. Burnette and wife, Jean of Henderson, daughters: Brenda B. Hunt of Castalia, and Wendy B Bryant, and husband, Bob of Wake Forest; step children; Rhonda Shearon and husband, Mark and Tom Chris Duke and wife, Renae; she will be dearly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

The family would like to thank the Red Bud Baptist Church family for all of their love and support they provided Nell and her family throughout this journey. A special thank you to Leigh Anne Arrington for her loving care of Nell, Tom, their family and their home to the end.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N Bickett Blvd Louisburg. Interment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church, 832 North Carolina Hwy 58, Castalia, NC 27816.
