CAROLYN H. HUDSON
February 25, 1936 - August 29, 2021

LOUISBURG - Carolyn Holmes Hudson, 85, of Louisburg, died Sunday evening at her home. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Carolyn spent her life nurturing loved ones with her gifts of home cooking. Special jellies, preserves, and pickles left her kitchen filled with love.

Carolyn was the daughter of the late Roy and Eugenia P. Holmes. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon May and her brother, William P. Holmes.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Due to COVID 19 it is requested that everyone wear a mask. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Billy Hudson; daughters, Catherine Schiffel (Paul) of Hickory; Ginny May (Steve) of Louisburg; Laura Dower (Glen) of Unicoi, TN; sister-in-law, Janie A. Holmes of San Antonia, TX; grandchildren, Scott Schiffel (Courtney); Melissa Price (Dusty); Jodi Pope; Michael May (Mandy); Randall Hunt (Koel); 9 great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Youth Ministry Fund, 4160 NC Hwy. 561, Louisburg, NC 27549.
