YOUNGSVILLE - Jennie Irene Mangum, 79, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007 at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, N.J.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Saturday, Sept. 1) at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Creedmoor. Burial will follow in Hllbg Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.

She was born in Granville County, daughter of the late Alfred and Essie Green Mangum of Granville County. She was educated in the Granville County School System. She was employed with Abbey’s Record Company, the NJ Home for the Disabled Soldiers in Edison, N.J., and the Wake Forest Child Care Center.

Surviving: children, Essie R. Mangum Williams (Michael) of Lawrenceville, N.J., Elaine L. Mangum (Bobby) of Newark, N.J; Debra Wiggins-Carter (Melvin) Sherri Funchess (Julious), Patricia Montague (Luther), Brenda Glenn, Robert E. Wiggins (Yolanda), Larry Kearney (Evelyn), and Michael Wiggins (Alfreda); Virgie Perry of Creedmoor and Betty Moorer (Dan) of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
