MARY MAGDALENE JONES ROGERS, (BOOT)

FRANKLINTON, NC--Mary Magdalene Jones Rogers, (Boot) of Franklinton, 81, died January 1, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Franklin County, on July 22, 1940 to the late Andrew Jackson Jones, Sr. and Patience Taylor Jones.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Rosa Mae, Mattie Pearl, Catherine, and Mae Frances, one brother, Jimmie, and one great-grandchild, Garrett.

Survivors: husband, Willie Rogers of Franklinton; daughter, Betty Jones (Phillip) of Franklinton, son, James Jones (Tina) of Durham; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers, Bessie Dunston, Andrew Jones, Jr. and Buddy Jones (Nancy) all of Franklin County, NC; one brother-in-law, John Rogers (Ascension) of Texas; one sister-in-law; Patricia Pratt of Durham; and a several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be 2 p.m., Sunday, January 9, 2022 at First Ledge Rock Baptist Church, Durham, with Rev. Marvin Battle, interim pastor, Rev. Paul Thompson, eulogist., Rev. Priscilla Massenburg, officiating. Interment at HLLBG Cemetery, Creedmoor.
