Edna Brown

Edna Brown, 94, passed away unexpectedly at the Seasons at Southpoint in Durham, North Carolina on Friday, June 24, 2022. She was born on September 3, 1927, to the late William and Virginia Hebron. Originally from Washington, D.C. Edna moved to Franklinton, N.C. in 2019.

In 1945 she married George W. Brown, Jr. and born from this union were Sherrie Ann (deceased), George W. III, and Virginia Frances. In 1992 Edna retired from the Federal Government and pursued her love of travel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sherrie, siblings Bessie Grayson, Bernice Brown, Frances Coney, Robert Hebron, Lillian Moore, Lawrence Hebron and grandson Kevin Brown. She is survived by her sister Virginia Berry, son George W. Brown, III, daughter Virginia "Ginger" Sykes, 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private viewing will be held on Friday, July 1st and Edna will have a green burial at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest, North Carolina on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
