FRANKLINTON, NC--Corina Kearney Johnson, age 95, Franklinton, died March 11, 2023.
Corina was born September 25, 1927 to the late Aurthur and Mattie Tabron Kearney in Franklin County, NC.
Along with her parents; husband, George Horace Johnson; and twelve siblings; she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Johnson; one daughter, Shirley Temple Johnson, and two grandsons.
She is survived by: one son, George E. Johnson (Carrie) of Upper Marlboro, MD; one daughter, Rev. Mattie Crudup of Butner, NC; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Johnson of Franklinton, NC; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cornelius "Tot" Alston and Catherine Crudup both of Franklinton, NC; three sisters-in-law, Mary Johnson of Franklinton, NC, Louise Davis and Callie Boone both of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service was 11 a.m., Saturday, March 18, at First Baptist Church Franklinton. The Reverend Bernard Allen, Interim Pastor, Bro. Greg Johnson, Eulogist, Rev. Peggie Kearney, officiated. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Franklinton.
