Willie James Johnson Sr.

Louisburg, NC--Funeral services for Willie James Johnson Sr., age 81, who died on Thursday, July 6, 2023, were held 12 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, from the Mitchner's Grove Baptist Church in Franklinton with Pastor Melvin Jackson officiating. Burial followed in the Mitchner's Grove Church Cemetery.

Born November 6, 1941, he is survived by his wife, Annie Johnson of the home; seven daughters, Vertha Higdon. Lugene Collins and Brenda Barkley, all of Raleigh, NC, Jamie Norward of Charlotte, NC, Annie Covington (Rogers), Sandra Stovall (Earek) and Iesha Johnson, all of Franklinton, NC; two sons, James Earl Johnson of Franklinton, NC, Darin Norward (Lisa) of Charlotte, NC; six sisters, Janie Green (Preston), Barbara Jean Yarborough and Brenda Farrell (Raymond), all of Franklinton, NC, Mary Johnson, Pamela Freedman and Katie Arrington, all of Louisburg, NC; five brothers, John Smith of Raleigh, NC, Michael Wilder (Earlene) of Bunn, NC, Samuel Johnson (Suzanne) and Judge "J. B." Johnson (Mary), both of Louisburg, NC, Larry Johnson of Nashville, NC; 41 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Viewing was Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Mitchner's Grove Baptist Church in Franklinton.
