Pamela Jean Ball Hayes
August 16, 1950 - December 8, 2023

Louisburg, NC--Pamela Jean Ball Hayes, 73, of Louisburg, passed away on December 8, 2023. She was born on August 16, 1950, to the late Walter Henry and Robbie Lee Lassiter Ball. In addition to her parents, Pamela was predeceased by her husband, George Hayes, and her sister, Emily Ball Hodges.

Pamela is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Chuck Odom; grandchildren, Sabrina Odom and Levi Odom; her sister, LeAnn Ball Hayes and husband Ted of Louisburg; brothers, Walter Ball, Jr. (Buster) and wife Vickie of Youngsville, Ronald Ball of Louisburg, and Donald Ball of Louisburg; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Pamela was the eldest of the six Ball children and was a natural caretaker. She held many hats in her working career; she retired as a paramedic from Franklin County EMS, she worked with her husband at Hayes Brothers Muffler Shop in Henderson for almost 50 years, was a seamstress and did alterations for many in the community and had volunteered with Louisburg Rescue Squad. Pamela was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 2 - 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549, where funeral services will be held at 3 pm with the Reverends Stan Smith and Dennis Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, consider donations to either Piney Grove Methodist Church, 352 Moulton Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549 or to Oxford United Methodist Church for the "Will's Way Project", P.O.
