ZEBULON - Jesse Dwight High, 80, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 after many months of declining health. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Nov. 1, at Corinth Baptist Church, Zebulon, with the Rev. Will Abernethy officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was born in Johnston County to Erma O’Neal High and the late Jesse Bunyon High. He was a former farmer and retired from Corning Glass with 22 years of service, and also retired from the Corinth Holder Fire Department.

Surviving: his wife, Annie Pearce High; mother, Erma O’Neal High of Zebulon; son, Dwight Landon High (Cissy) of Zebulon; daughter, Ellen High Marshall (Stewart) of Louisburg; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
