WILKESBARRE, Pa. -- Bettie Mae Clax-Mangum, 82, formerly of Franklinton, died on June 3.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel Avery Clax and Alberta Smith Clax of Franklin County.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 14, at 2 p.m. at New Life Outreach Ministry in Franklinton with the Rev. Donathan Muldrow officiating and the Rev. Mattie Crudup, providing the eulogy.
Burial will follow in the Cemetery On The Hill in Louisburg.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce Kingsberry, Hazel and Patricia Clax, and one brother, George Lyons.
She is survived by her stepmother, Delois Person Clax of Franklinton; two sisters, Barbara A. Wallace of Hyattsville, Maryland, and Wanda D. Clax of Raleigh; four brothers, Samuel A. Clax, Jr., (Doreen), Curtis W. Lyons (Regina) and Tony B. Clax all of Franklinton, and Wallace P. Clax (Roberta) of Raleigh; a special friend, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
