RICHARD A. TOWERS
TAMPA, Fla. - Richard Allen Towers, 61, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at Tampa General Hospital. A graveside service was conducted Saturday, Nov. 3, at Good Hope Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Gilbert Brantley officiating.

He was born in Augusta, Maine, son of the late Alice Margaret Robbins Towers and Lewis James Towers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jean Jones Towers. Mr. Towers was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Surviving: his wife, Gail Amos of Tampa, Fla.; children, Teresa Van Den Kooy of St. Petersburg, Fla., Sandra O’Neal of Youngsville, Dennis Mitchell of Franklinton, Ronnie Mitchell of Charlotte, Bobby Towers of Jacksonville; brothers, Charles Towers of Somersworth, N.H., Earl Towers of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Charlene Musick of Northwood, N. H., Doris Pancurak of Rochester, N.H.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
