Franklinton, NC -- Thomas "Wayne" Harris of Franklinton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born on November 14, 1946, to the late Thomas Junious Harris and Dorothy Evans Harris in Franklin County, NC.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his brother Robert Arthur Harris, sister Teresa Gail Harris; and son, Matthew Thomas Harris.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Harris Ayscue and son, David Wayne Harris (Brandi); and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church on April 30, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
