Franklinton, NC -- Ella Mae Perry Crudup, age 98, of Franklinton, NC, was born November 11, 1927, in Franklin County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Kelly and Mary Lizzie Crudup Perry. Ella Mae died April 21, 2026, at her home in Franklinton.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Burt Crudup; three daughters, Betty C. Kelly, Barbara C. Lawrence, and Doris C. Kearney; one son, William T. Crudup; a grandson, Anthony Maurice Crudup, her siblings, Jasper, George, and Joseph Perry; and Emma P. Bowden.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Magdelene Perry of the home; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, two sons-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family.

Eulogistic service was Sunday, May 3, at 3 p.m. at Pope's Chapel UCC in Franklinton with Rev. Ervin Milton, officiating. Interment in Church Cemetery.
