Nashville, NC -- Funeral services for Walter Tharrington age 81, who died on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, will be held on Wednesday, June 3, at 11 a.m. from the Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville, NC, with Rev. Wilhemina Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Baptist Church cemetery.

Born July 25, 1944, he is survived by his wife, Mildred Tharrington of the home; sons, Keith Tharrington of Spring Hope, NC, Gary G. Tharrington (Della) of Nashville, NC, and Walter G. Tharrington of Spring Hope, NC; sister, Evelyn Harper of Irvington, NJ; brother, James Tharrington (Berta) of Spring Hope, NC; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 3, from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville, NC.
