YOUNGSVILLE - Garland Cooke, 76, died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 21, at Flat Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Myrtle Watkins Cooke and Isaac D. Cooke. He was the former owner and operator of Cooke’s Grocery in Youngsville.
Surviving: his wife, Frances Wood Cooke; daughter, Nancy C. White (Curtis) of Youngsville; and three grandchildren.
