MARGARET P. KEARNEY
FRANKLINTON - Margaret Pearce Kearney, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at her home following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Popes Chapel United Church of Christ, with burial in the church cemetery. A reception followed in the fellowship hall.

She was born in Vance County to the late Jack and Florence Pearce.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert S. Kearney; a sister, Florine Pearce; and three brothers, Clyde, Edward and Rudolph Pearce, all of Henderson.

Surviving: daughter, Jean Kearney Lowery (Vernon) of Chase City, Va.; sons, Vickie Kearney (Mary), Maurice Kearney, (Judy), all of Franklinton, Larry Kearney (Barbara) of Youngsville; brothers, Alton “Lou” Pearce (Edna) and Claude “Skeeter” Pearce (Mary), all of Henderson; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Margaret’s memory may be made to Popes Chapel United Church of Christ, 1237 Pocomoke Road, Franklinton, NC 27525; or Tender Loving Care Hospice, 1937 NC 39 Highway North, Louisburg, NC 27549.

I would like to say THANK YOU!!!! to The Franklin Times for printing Obituaries at no cost to the families. We are already going through enough at this difficult time, and its nice to know that we don't have another bill to pay. Thanks again & keep up the great job!!! Michelle
