SAMUEL A. HEDGEPETH
WARRENTON - Funeral services for Mr. Samuel Arvel Hedgepeth, 87, who died Wednesday, May 24, 2006, will be held today (Saturday, May 27) at 11 a.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Silver officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Sarah P. Hedgepeth; daughters, Minnie H. Manning of Warrenton, Dora Cyrus of Rocky Mount and Lessie Lynch of Hollister; sons, Samuel A. Hedgepeth Jr. of Warrenton, Clyde Hedgepeth of Middletown, Md., Jessie L. Hedgepeth of Rocky Mount, Fred A. Hedgepeth of Essex, Roland H. Hedgepeth of Newton; sisters, Levonia Chamblee of Ahoskie, Ethel E. Silver of Nashville, Claudia Brinkley of Enfield, Helen H. Banks of Washington, D.C., Cynthia H. Harris of Temple Hill, Md., Patsy Woodley of East Orange, N.Y., Harriet Ward of Enfield, Mary Ann Manning of Rocky Mount and Mildred Harper of Hollister; brothers, Charles R. Evans, Mannis H. Evans, Grady O. Evans, Robert “Jack” Harper Jr., Darwin H. Harper, all of Hollister, William C. Evans of Rocky Mount and Norris B. Harper of Warrenton; 26 grandchildren; and 38 great grandchildren.
