DOROTHY D. GUPTON
LOUISBURG - Dot (Lloyd) Gupton, 86, of Centerville, died peacefully Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at her home. A native of Franklin County, she was the wife of Lloyd Gupton, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Gupton grew up in Sandy Creek Baptist Church and has been an active member of Centerville Baptist Church where she found the love and support of her Christian family for over fifty years. She served in many different roles, most recently a member of the Busy Bees.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Gupton Watkins, and brother, Wilton Duke.

She is survived by son Drew Gupton of Garner and wife, Judy; son-in-law, Bill Watkins of Garner; sister, Jessie Radford of Centerville, grandchildren: Jodee Gupton, Patrick Watkins and wife, Anna, Paige Bagwell and husband, Jody, Bradley Gupton and wife, Cristin; great-grandchildren: Jackson Watkins, Rylee Drew Gupton, Brook Watkins, and Lyla Jo Bagwell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Centerville Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family received friends Friday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Centerville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Building Fund, 2370 Leonard Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
