DURHAM - Mrs. Gracie Hatcher Wright Davis, 86, of The Durham Regent, diedThursday, June 5, 2008, at Hospice at Meadowlands. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at noon at Hudson Funeral Chapel in Durham, officiated by Rev. M.B. Collier. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the funeral at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Louisburg.

She was raised in Johnston County and was a hairdresser for more than 40 years in Durham.

Surviving: a son, Larry Wright of Stem; three daughters, Linda Wright Woods of Stem, Millie Wright Frazier of Louisburg and Kay Wright Morgan (Joe) of Durham; two brothers, Raymond Hatcher of Raleigh and William Hatcher of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Mabel Gower of Wake Forest, Ruby Lee Hogge of Monk’s Corner, S.C., and Polly McGowen of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Leon Davis.
