EMMA B. SHILLINGLAW
LOUISBURG - Emma Burris Shillinglaw, 79, of Louisburg died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Wake Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Shillinglaw of Louisburg, and son-in-law, Danny B. Arnold of Youngsville.

A service of death and resurrection celebrating her life will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Louisburg United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Earl Dulaney and the Rev. G. Paul Phillips officiating. A service of committal will follow at 5:30 p.m. at Olivet Presbyterian Church Cemetery in McConnells, SC.

Surviving: daughters: Cynthia S. Phillips and husband, G. Paul of Mebane, NC, and Linda S. Arnold of Youngsville, NC; brother: John W. Burris and wife, Pauline of Sharon, SC; sisters, Mary B. Sadler and husband, Oscar of Sharon, SC, and Rebecca B. Howell and husband, Len of Sharon, SC; step-grandchildren, Beth Pope and husband, Wayne of Benson, NC, Blair Phillips and wife, Stephanie of Jacksonville, FL; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the parlor of Louisburg United Methodist Church, 402 N. Main Street, Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Louisburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 667, Louisburg, NC 27549.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.lancasterfcs.com.
