MILLARD DICKERSON
WAKE FOREST - Spurgeon Millard Dickerson, 84, formerly of Youngsville, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Hillside Nursing Center. The entombment service was conducted Monday morning, July 14, at Oak Level Christian Church cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Brad Reynolds officiating.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Nellie Bobbitt Dickerson and R. B. Dickerson. He was a former postal carrier with the United States Postal Service, a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving in World War II, and a member of Oak Level Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Y. Dickerson; two sisters. Evelyn Wiggins and Eula D. Tunstall.

Surviving: stepdaughter, Coleen G. Jones (Bill) of Chester, Va.; and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Level Christian Church, P. O. Box 216, Youngsville, NC 27596 or Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1487 NC Hwy. 96, Youngsville, NC 27596.
