H. LUCILLE BASS
FRANKLINTON - Hellen Lucille Yarbough Bass, 81, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Universal Health Care of Raleigh. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 26, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Youngsville, with the Rev. Samuel T. Tunstall officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County to the late Kenneth and Irene Yarbough. She was educated in the public schools of Franklin County. She was a retired employee of the Franklin County Public School System where she worked as a custodian for more than 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bass; three sons, Donald (Peter) Bass, Jimmy Bass and McArthur Yarbough; a daughter, Lorraine Jones; two brothers, Ervin and James Yarbough; two sisters, Denise Wilson and Frances White; and two granddaughters and one grandson.

Surviving: sons, Willie Lee Bass (Linda) of Butner, Larry Bass of Raleigh and Ricky Bass (Sharon) of Henderson; daughters, Brenda Crump (Thomas) of Raleigh, and JoAnn Watson of Franklinton; sister, Kenneth Lee Johnson of Hampton, Va.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements by Cutchins Funeral Home, Franklinton.
