DAVID L. PERRY
BERKELEY, Calif. - Mr. David Lyle Perry, 40, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006, in San Ramon, Calif. He was born Nov. 2, 1965, in Sumter, S.C., to Bennett and Linda Perry. David was a member of Fries Memorial Moravian Church. He graduated from Bishop McGuiness High School and later attended N. C. State University.

For three years, David was a historic interpreter at Old Salem. For the last 10 years, he was employed by Prima Vini in Walnut Creek as a wine merchant.

He is survived by his wife, Christen Perry, of Arlington, Va.; parents, Bennett and Linda Perry of Pfafftown, N.C.; a sister, Katherine Bowman, and husband Matthew of Winston-Salem, N.C.; three nephews, Noah, Tucker and Jacob Bowman; two grandmothers, Margaret B. Perry of Louisburg and Margie T. Peterson of Salemtowne; an uncle, William C. Perry of Atlanta, Ga.; two aunts, Patricia Johnson of Pfafftown and Beverly Chapman of Duluth, Ga.; and also many cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at Fries Memorial Moravian Church, Winston-Salem, with the Rev. Patricia Garner and the Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Moravian Graveyard.

The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 16, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.

Flowers accepted, or memorials may be made to Fries Memorial Moravian Church, 251 Hawtorne Road NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
