MARIAH W. ALSTON
LOUISBURG - Mariah W. Alston, 88, died Sunday, August 10, 2008. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Perry’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Randolph Alston officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Annie Scott, of Baltimore, MD, Olivia Gupton and Donna Wardrick, both of Louisburg; foster daughters, Clara Fogg, of Franklinton, Vicie Walker, of Silver Spring, MD, Carla Walker, of Raleigh; sons, Horace Alston, of Catonsville, MD, Ervin Alston, of Baltimore, MD, Melvin Alston, of Louisburg, Roosevelt Alston, of Castalia, Danny Alston, of San Antonio, TX, Mickey Alston, of Garner; sister, Susie Williams, of Raleigh; 29 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.

Arrangements entrusted to Richardson Funeral Home, Louisburg.

Mariah was at the nursing home I work at for a while.. She was such a sweet lady... I will always remember her for her beautiful smile.. It could light up the darkest room...
