JUDITH BELCHE PARRISH
LOUISBURG - Judith Belche Parrish, 66, of Louisburg died on Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Mrs. Parrish was born on June 6, 1942 and was raised in Castalia, NC. On August 11, 1963 she married Billy Glenn Parrish, her loving husband of forty-five years.

Mrs. Parrish was a graduate of East Carolina University where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Library Science. At her retirement, she was head librarian at Louisburg College, her employer for forty years. Mrs. Parrish was a former deacon and active member of Louisburg Baptist Church and numerous civic organizations.

Mrs. Parrish was predeceased by her parents, Felton Eli and Ruth Mae Belche of Castalia, NC. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Melissa Parrish Atkins and husband, Keith, of Nashville, NC, Felton Edward Parrish and wife, Andrea, of Charlotte, NC; three granddaughters, Sophia Artemisia Atkins, Phoebe Isabella Atkins and Lauren Elizabeth Parrish; and sister, Elizabeth “Libby” Belche May and husband, Royce, of Rocky Mount, NC.

A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15th, at Louisburg Baptist Church with Dr. Reggie Rushing officiating. Burial followed in Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville, NC.

The family received friends Thursday, August 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.
