FRANKLINTON - Mollie Lee Lyons, 83, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 at Louisburg Nursing Center. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Kinches Chapel Christian Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Willie R. Nixon III officiating. Interment was at Peace Memorial Gardens, Roxboro.
She was the daughter of the late Early and Cora Bass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Duke Lyons, and one daughter, Cora Mae Dubois.
Surviving: sons, Andrew Duke Lyons Jr. and Leroy Lyons, both of Franklinton; one daughter, Linda Lyons of Garner; sisters, Mary Hollins of Landover, Md., Lois Satterfield of Baltimore, Md., and Helen Brogdon of Durham; brother, Anthony Bass of Roxboro; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
