JAMES W. LEONARD
WENDELL - James William Leonard, 92, died Thursday morning, Oct. 16, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Oct. 18) at Hales Chapel Baptist Church, Burial will be in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon.

He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Henry and Ella Rose Vaughan Leonard, and was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Pearce Leonard. He was a retired farmer and retired from Illinois Tool Works in Zebulon.

Surviving: his children, Maxine and Jerry Gray of Zebulon, Betty Paul of Zebulon, Rose Canipe of Raleigh, Lula and Johnny Earp of Wendell; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
