DELMAR LYNCH
LOUISBURG - Delmar Lynch, 69, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008 at Britthaven of Louisburg. Funeral services were held Friday, October 24 at 2 p.m. at Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church in Franklinton with the Rev. Melvin Jackson officiating. Interment and committal rites followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Franklinton.

He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Ollie and Elnora Branch Lynch. He was a member of Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church, and until his health began to fail, was employed by the Franklinton Veneer Company after returning to North Carolina from New York in 1964.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma Massenburg, a sister, Lucille Bumpers, and one brother, Ollie Lynch.

Surviving: his wife, Blanche Davis Lynch; two daughters, Donna Webb (Reginald) of Franklinton, and Blanche Epps (Larry) of Henderson; five sons, Rex Davis (Faith), Michael Lynch (Doris), Darryl Lynch (Darelean), and James Lynch (Patrice), all of Franklinton, and Jerry Lynch (Olivia) of Raleigh; two sisters, Emma Jean Lewis (Tom) of Raleigh, and Roxie Ward of Franklinton; one brother, Elonza Lynch (Pearl) of Franklinton; sister-in-law, Edith Lynch; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
