CORINE L. THORNE
CASTALIA - Corine Leonard Thorne, 79, of Castalia, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008 in Louisburg Nursing Center. Memorial services were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 28, at White Level Baptist Church, with the Rev. Henry Stamper and Rev. Ken Altom officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Dolly Leonard; son, Gregg Thorne; and daughter, Barbara Smith. She was a member of White Level Baptist Church.

Surviving: her husband, Howard Thorne; daughter, Angela Thorne McIntyre of Castalia; son, Barry Neal Thorne of Castalia; three sisters, Beanie Burnette of Louisburg, Beatrice Milton of Richmond, Va., and Falton Jones of Louisburg; one brother, R.D. Leonard of Louisburg; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family has requested that no flowers be sent. Contributions may be made in her memory to White Level Baptist Church, 2400 White Level Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
