THOMAS WAYNE EDWARDS
LOUISBURG - Mr. Thomas Wayne Edwards, 57, of Louisburg, passed away October 28, 2008. Tommy was born September 27, 1951 to Phyllis Graefe Edwards and the late Charles Thomas Edwards. Tommy retired from the U. S. Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant, with 24 years of faithful service. During his career he earned the Bronze Service Star while serving in the Vietnam War and later in Operation Desert Storm. He loved his family, who will all miss him greatly, and he loved his country. Tommy is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Moore Edwards; son, Zachery Charles Edwards; daughter, Emily Anne Joseph and husband, OMarie; mother, Phyllis Arlene Edwards; and a brother, Richard Lee Edwards. A graveside service was held Friday, October 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Montlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, CB #7295, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-7295. The donations should be specified to the Leukemia Division.
