WENDELL - Lewis Barton, 67, of 2708 Marks Creek Road, died Sunday at home surrounded by his beloved family. He was a native of Rockville, CT, son to the late Howard and Margorie Medders Barton. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was also preceded in death by sons, Thomas and Bruce Jones.

Memorial service will be 8 p.m., Wednesday, Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg, with visitation from 6 to 7:45 p.m., prior to the service. Private inurnment will follow Thursday in Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Barbara Ann Barton; sons, Tracy Barton and wife Sylvia of Jacksonville, FL, Randy Barton of Putnam, CT, and Corey Barton of Jacksonville; daughters, Tammy Lou Barton of Spokane, WA, Tammy Arnold and husband John of Wendell; sons David Jones of Franklinton and Jeff Jones of the home; sisters, Susan Acosta of Dover, DE, and Margorie Petters of Connecticut; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Minikia Spivey; and brother, Cecil Foster; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
