WILLIE M. NICHOLSON
FRANKLINTON - Willie M. Nicholson, 77, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008. Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Melvin Jackson officiating. Burial followed in the Manasseh Chapel Baptist Church cemetery, Franklinton.

She was born to Kenzie J. Mann and the late Joseph Edgerton. She attended Albion Academy of Franklinton. She later graduated from high school in 1966 after having six children. She received an associate degree in sociology and worked for the division of Social Services in New York, where she retired.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nicholson; a daughter, Bonnie C. Nicholson; sister, Frances E. Harris; and brothers, Joseph and Wilbur Mann.

Surviving: mother, Kenzie J. Mann of Franklinton; sons, Earl M. Mann (Bettie) of Raleigh and Ezekiel M. Nicholson of Franklinton; daughters, Brenda Nicholson-Taylor (John), Bathsheba Jones (Willie) and Beverly Clemonts (James), all of Franklinton; brothers, Joseph Edgerton of Richmond, Va. and Milton of Germany (serving in Iraq); sister, Sandra Finney of Virginia; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
