DR. GEORGE K. “KOS” WEAVER
LOUISBURG - Dr. George K. (Kos) Weaver died Monday, December 22, 2008 at his home in Fayetteville, Georgia. He was the only son of George W. Weaver and Louise Taylor Weaver of Louisburg and was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Mangum Weaver, originally of Durham.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. from Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, with the Rev. Earl Dulaney officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Ken Weaver, wife Lori and grandchildren Anna Katherine and Elizabeth Kendall of Salisbury, NC; son Marty, wife Mary Kent, grandchildren Robert Knox and Mary Mangum of Concord, NC; daughter, Ruth Taylor of Columbia, SC; son Kos, wife Kelli, and grandchildren Isabelle Collins and Eva Grace of Nashville, TN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Advantage of Fayetteville, GA by way of Hospice Services Inc., 401 Center Avenue, Bay City, MI 48708 (www.hospiceadvantage.com) or the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).

The flag in front of the funeral home flies at half-staff in honor of Mr. Weaver’s service to his country.
