LUCY M. PURYEAR
KNIGHTDALE - Lucy Moody Puryear, 93, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Guardian Care of Zebulon. Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 7, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, Knightdale, with the Rev. Gary Williams officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, July 8) at Beulah Christian Baptist Church cemetery, Zebulon.

She was born in Wake County to the late Joe Richard Moody and Siddie Perry Moody. She worked as a nursery assistant at Rolesville Baptist Church Daycare for 11 years.

Surviving: daughters, Shirley P. Stell (A. G.) of Knightdale and Linda P. Edwards of Zebulon; son, Danny Puryear (Debbie) of Bunn; brothers, Roy Moody of Raleigh, Johnny Moody of Wendell and David Moody of Zebulon; sister, Marybelle Carter of Wendell; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ennis Puryear; son, Tony Puryear; four brothers and one sister.
