CODY LEE MESSER
LOUISBURG - Cody Lee Messer, 25, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at his home. A celebration of his life was conducted Monday, Feb. 9, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel, Knightdale.

He was born in Haywood County to the late Paul Sutton and Sharon Messer. He worked with Fun Times Entertainment as a DJ.

Surviving: mother Sharon Messer; brother, Steven Woollen of Raleigh; maternal grandmother, Rhoda Burgess of Raleigh; three aunts; two uncles; three cousins; and a host of special friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his “Pap,” James Hugh Burgess; half brother, Paul Mitchell Sutton; two cousins; and two uncles.

Flowers accepted, but the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
