KITTRELL - Blake Larson Brown, 62, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009 at her home. Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 9, at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carol Dean officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
She was born in Virginia Beach, Va., the daughter of the late Joseph Larson and Hubie Mailborn Larson. She was a bookkeeper for Overby Marine Sales and Service.
Surviving: husband, Charles Carlton Brown Jr. of the home; stepsons, John Brown of Virginia Beach, Va., and Tom Brown of Hampton, Va.; a brother, Roger Larson of Virginia Beach; and two step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vance County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 914, Henderson, N.C. 27536; or to Community Home Care & Hospice, 1242 Dabney Drive, Henderson, N.C. 27536.
