CLAYTON - Marion Franklin Bass, 87, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, with the Rev. Emerson Woodall officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Perk Cemetery in Goldsboro.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Carter Bass.
Surviving: his daughter, Frankie Lynn Bass of Clayton; sons, Earl C. “EC” Crawford of Clayton, Neal J. Bass of Clayton; brother, Donald Bass of Youngsville; sister, Hilda Radford of Rosewood; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends 6:30-8:30 tonight (Wednesday, Feb. 25) at McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton.
