ROBERT G. FLEMING SR.
HENDERSON - Robert Gray Fleming Sr., 56, died Monday, April 27, 2009 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Raymond Cooper and Mildred Beatrice Harris Fleming.

Mr. Fleming was an employee of Trinity Electric Inc.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Flowers Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Henry Abbott and the Rev. Steve Davis. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving: his wife, Gale Ayscue Fleming; a daughter, Sandy Fleming Moss Arnold (Lynn) of Louisburg; a son, Robert G. Fleming Jr. of Lumberton, NC; a stepdaughter, Priscilla Moss of Virginia Beach, Va.; a stepson, W. A. Bowes and wife, Nancy, of Stem, NC; two sisters, Betsy F. Hancock and husband, Sam, of Wallace, NC and Patricia Ann F. Glaser and husband, Rich, of Boynton Beach, FL; two brothers, Jerry W. Fleming and Michael T. Fleming, both of Henderson; and four grandchildren, Kimberly Moss, Lucy Moss, Brandon Arnold, and Megan Arnold. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Fleming; and a son-in-law, Joe Moss.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home, 290 Renn Lane, Henderson.

Serving as active pallbearers will be William Bolton, Chris Abbott, Chuck Flaxcomb, Melvin Coghill, Jimmy Wallace, Bobby Abbott, and Brandon Bolton.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Robert G. Fleming Sr. Funeral Fund, c/o Flowers Funeral Home, P. O. Box 138, Henderson, NC 27536.

Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home.
