ANNIE LAURA SMITH BURGESS WARDRETT
LOUISBURG - Annie Laura Smith Burgess Wardrett, 70, died Thursday, December 3, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7 at Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Timothy Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Spivey family cemetery.

Surviving: husband, Ellis Wardrett of the home; daughters,  Annie Laverne Miles of Louisburg and Nicole Reana Burgess of Castalia; son, James Allen Burgess, Jr. of Louisburg; step-sons, Gary Lee Richardson and Keith Wardrett, both of Henderson; sisters, Elizabeth Wright, Mary Perry and Magdalene Perry, all of Louisburg; brothers, Zollie Smith and Otis Smith, both of Louisburg; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 3 - 8 p.m., Sunday, December 6, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
