LAURA N. WALTERS
WAKE FOREST - Laura N. Walters, 88, died Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Rex Hospital. She was a resident of Turnberry, a senior apartment complex in Wake Forest.

She was born in Boston, Mass. to the late Frank W. and Mary Stephens Newhall.

She was predeceased by her husband, sisters and nephew.

Surviving: daughter, Julia Takacs (Larry)  of Youngsville; son, J.E. Walters (Betty) of Smithfield; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 30 at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. Dr. Ray Ammons officiating.

Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
