MOZELLE W. WHEELER
LOUISBURG - Mozelle Wiggins Wheeler, 91, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, May 22) at Flat Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating.

She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late J.W. “Fatbuck” Wiggins and Aurelia Emily “Sissie” Bridges Wiggins. She worked for Burlington Industries Wake Finishing Plant and helped run the family farm, as well as being a homemaker. After retiring, she worked at Hill Ridge Farms for 10 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Riddic Wheeler; son, Donnie Wilson Wheeler; brothers, Haywood, Woodrow and Stephen Wiggins; sisters, Mamie Hill, Bessie Cook, Elsie Mangum and Lola Place.

Surviving: daughters, Sandra W. Bailey of Raleigh and Vickie Wheeler of Riverside, Calif.; sister, Myrtle W. Bailey of Louisburg; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church, 1529 Flat Rock Church Road, Louisburg, NC 27549 or to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.

Friends and family may visit with the family following the graveside service on Saturday in the church fellowship hall.
