MILLIE W. MASON
RALEIGH - Millie Woodlief Mason, 87, died Tuesday, June 8, at Rex Hospital. Family received friends Thursday, June 10, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, St. Mary’s Street, with a memorial service following in the Wynne Center. Interment was at Montlawn Memorial Park.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late George Herman Woodlief and Lessie Johnson Woodlief. She was a secretary for IBM, an executive secretary at Nationwide Insurance Co., and before retiring was an administrative assistant with the State of North Carolina working with the Governor’s Crime Prevention Commission.

Surviving: daughter, Nancy Abraham (Dr. P.M.) of Matthews; and one grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both spouses, Herbert Buffaloe and Red Mason, and by two sisters, Joyce and Inez.
