Sara Moore “Polly” Connelly
GREENSBORO - Mrs. Sara Moore “Polly” Connelly, 91, of 3560 Wildflower Dr., died peacefully Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Wellspring Retirement Community.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at the Well Spring Auditorium by the Reverend John Akers. Graveside services for the family will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Connelly was born June 29, 1914 in Guilford Co., where she was a lifelong resident, the daughter of Adolphus Moore and Georgia Cooper Moore.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Junior League, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Connelly; her brother, Beverly Cooper Moore; and her sister, Maurine Moore Vance.

Surviving are her daughter, Maurine Ford and husband Charles E. Ford, Jr. of Louisburg; son, Charles E. Connelly, Jr. and wife Jane of Greensboro; grandchildren, George W. Ford II and wife Karen, Sara Scott Ford Wright and husband Derek, Charles E. Ford III, Caroline Connelly Kinlaw and Charles E. Connelly III; great grandchildren, Emma Katherine Wright, Edward Ford Wright, and William Cooper Ford.

The family will receive friends following the service at Well Spring.

Flowers are welcome and memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel is assisting the Connelly family.
