GREENSBORO - Pearl Harris Gomo, 90, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Friends Home West, Greensboro. A graveside service was held Tuesday, March 29, followed by a memorial service at Friends Home West.

She was born in Ingold (Sampson County) and raised in Bunn. After graduation from Louisburg College, she moved to Greensboro in 1941 as part of the National Youth Administration Program. She worked for the City of Greensboro, Federal Housing Administration, Chrysler Corporation and the Guilford County Clerk of Court.

Surviving: husband, Kelman Gomo; brothers, James R. Harris (Martha), of Richmond, Va., and Roy Harris (Betty Sue); one nephew and niece; and two great-nieces.

Memorial contributions would be accepted to the Friends Home West Residents’ Assistance Fund, 6100 West Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27410.
